Bharathanatyam

Bharatanatyam, one of India's oldest and most revered classical dance forms, originates from the southern state of Tamil Nadu. This ancient art has been mesmerizing audiences for centuries with its graceful movements, intricate footwork, and expressive storytelling. Bharatanatyam is a culmination of music, dance, and drama, weaving together the sacred and the secular.

It's history roots back with references in ancient Tamil literature that the dance form is evolved from the Devadasi tradition, where temple dancers performed sacred rituals and told mythological stories.

Gurukulam Sabha has its privilege of having our mentor who is also 5th generation dancer.We now celebrate our excellence in Thanjavur bani over the 25 years of teaching and performing.. Our comprehensive training on traditional dance repertoire called Margam , is set to understand better and create their own perception about learning the dance form .

Session Schedule
