By the grace of God, our trust was registered in 1999 as per the rules and regulations of the government of India.

Vision

To engange the children and the youth in the traditional cultural programs instead of spending time in theatres or before TV for entertainment. To shift them from the phase of passive audience to the phase of active performers. To bring the hidden talented artists of India into Light.

Mission

To conduct stage programs for the expert artists as well as the budding artists to exhibit their talents. By which, our rich culture is kept alive. To appreciate the talented artists with mementos, titles and certificates.

Guru. Gnana Sakthivel

Guru. Gnana sakthivel was born on 26/02/1967 to the couple T.Gnanam and Natchiammal who belonged to the tradition of Isaivelalar. He began his journey of fine arts in 1985 as the prime disciple of Guru. Mrs. Lalitha sangararaman who was born and brought in Bangalore but settled in Palani after her marriage. He had been learning the basics of “Vaipaattu” and “Bharatha natiyam” until 1990. Later, he joined the Gurukulam which was run by Trichy Guru. Kalaimamani. R. Thayumanavan. Under the guidance of Valankaimaan K. Thiyakarajan, the disciple of Trichy Guru. Kalaimamani. R. Thayumanavan, he was trained in Vaipattu by Guru. V. Rengarajan (vaipattu), Guru. Mrs. Ambujam vethaandam (vaipattu), Guru. Late. Mr. Gopinath, Thenoor Guru. Natarajan (vaipattu), Guru. Thanjavur Srinivasaiyyar (vaipattu) and Palani Guru. S. Lakshmi narashimaiyyar (vaipattu).

He was trained in Miruthangam by Guru. Mr. D.S.Thakshinamoothi pillai, the grandson of Pudhukai Miruthangam, Kanchira ‘Mamethai’ ‘Mahavidhvan’ Srilasri Thakshinamoothi pillai and also by Guru. Mr. K. Thiyakarajan. He was trained in Natiyam and Nattuvangam by Guru. Kalaimamani. Mr. B. Herambanathan in Thanjavur Pavu pillai dance academy. Later, he was trained in Thalam by Pudhukai Thirukokarnam,

“kalaimamani” Guru. K. Chellaiyapillai.

Having worked as a coach of music, dance and arts in Vairam Matriculation School, Pudhukai for 4 years, and as a music teacher in Jeyagopal Garodia Matriculation School, West Mambalam, Chennai and in G.R.T. Mahalakshmi Matriculation School, Ashoknagar, Chennai, he and his wife Mrs. Srividhya began the institute called “Gurukula Sabha” to teach Music and Dance in 1999 in Palani. He has been a successful coach as well as a performer since then. The specialty of training is that the students become the teachers eventually.

Guru.Smt.SriVidhyaSakthivel

Guru.Smt. Srividhyasakthivel, the daughter of R. Swaminathan and Raniyammal, pudhukottai was born in 1976. She is the granddaughter of Pudhukottai Samasthana Vid. Sri. Rajagopal Pillai (Mridangam Vidwan)

She hails from the traditional lineage of Dancers & Musicians family and effectively does justice to the privilege of being the 5th Generation Dancer. She is a Undergraduate in Tamil. She also pursued her Violin training simultaneously doing her higher studies. After marriage , She has become the Co - Founder of the Gurukulam sabha Cultural trust which lit the long time spark of performing and teaching Bharathanatyam in her. With the constant guidance of her Husband and Perseverence towards art, She appeared and cleared the government technical examinations - Lower and Higher in Bharathanatyam as well as lower in Carnatic music . Later, she graduated in Bharathanatyam (B.F.A and M.F.A Dance) from Annamalai University , Chidambaram. She is also Certified as "Nattuvaanga Kalaimani".

Besides studies and family responsibilities, she made her iconical perfomances in traditional Tanjore style on the stages in Karur-Natyanjali, Chitraivizha at Giri Conventional hall, Chennai and Shirdi Sai Baba Mandhir and more.

She is now being the Senior Choreographer & Chairman of Gurukulam Sabha cultural trust. She plays a significant role of assistance for Guru. Sri. Sakthivel in Nattuvaangam & vocal both in perfomances and in classes.

Her multitasking role in our institution as Mentor, as Administrator, as Chairman, as performer , as organizer of events

is the source of this great success.

Her relentless Service over these 25 years is highly appreciated and she has been conferred with titles namely - "Nattuvanga Thilagam" by "Aim too High" trust " Nattramizh Isaivani" from Tamizhisai sangam, Trichy,

"Nrithya Surabhi" from Sai Nattiyalaya , Coimbatore
